Hello everyone!
You can bike ride the entire island.
Cape Cod, MA
I've been looking for a vintage bicycle in yard sales, but so far . . . no luck. Vintage bicycles reminds me when we used to live on the lovely Cape Cod. I remember seeing all those vintage bicycles for rent, and also the tourist and the exchange students riding on those pretty bikes. So in the mean time I decided to take my "modern" bike to the herb garden to pose for some pictures.
The little basket at the right corner usually sits on a table at the front porch.
This basket hangs on our front door, but I just borrowed it for the pics. I'll be in the look out for a bike's basket also.
I'll be waiting patiently for my vintage bike . . .
When my husband and I got married we went to Nantucket for our honeymoon, and we rented bikes.

Here's a photo of my hubby on his rental bike.
I love that bike and the cute rider too!

Oh so cute- love your flowers - a vry sweet post. I truly hope you find your vintage bike soon, it would feel right at home in your world of beauty.
ReplyDeleteWendy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming post! Vintage bikes are hard to come by as they are highly collectible. But I am sure your persistence will win out and you will find your "perfect" bike!
Hugs,
Deb
Wendy- You were so darned cute!!!! I hope you can find a bike, too. I found a semi-vintage one. At least it has fenders and a wide piece the covers the chain. I love it out front propped against my tree.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you- I hope you have a great day- xo Diana
Dearest Wendy,
ReplyDeleteYour post could be almost Dutch... That is so common in my birth country, more bikes than cars. It might be possible some day for you to possess your vintage bike; never give up on dreams!
Love to you,
Mariette

That little cottage in the first picture is adorable, isn't it? I hope you find your vintage bike, Wendy. I know they are hard to come by. The basket is very cute on yours! And I love the little birdie. Is that one your hubby carved? It's darling in any case! Thank you for your visit and your sweet comment about my magazine feature. I appreciate it and you! Have a lovely weekend.

Wendy, this is the cutest post! I am smiling BIG right now, and believe me, I needed something to make me smile today! Thank-you.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy,
ReplyDeleteYour bike looks so cute with the basket full of flowers. I have a older bike, don't know if its vintage, but its fun to decorate. I've never been to Nantuckett, but I've been to Mackinaw Island here in Michigan lots of times and rented bikes to ride around the island. Lots of fun memories you brought to me. Thank you for sharing this.
