  1. Dearest Wendy,

Thanks for your message! So here I am, having the honor of being the very first follower of your classy blog! Love the home you live in and you got quite a good taste! Nothing copied from the mainstream 'shabby chic' magazines or blogs for that matter. But true you! Things are hanging at the correct height, proper sizing so nothing looks monstrous like I've seen at times that one hangs a lamp in a kitchen that is about half the size of the room... It is all about proportions and fit for fashion and the same applies for the home.
A home also has to represent the people, living their. It is their soul, showing their values and beauty. The title of you blog is also precious; Once Upon A Rose Haven... Wow! Congratulations and I wish you good luck!
I've added your blog to my sidebar (by putting the URL into Design, Edit Layout; Add a Gadget; Blogs I follow; Add to List; Add by URL... So maybe that will generate you some traffic too. Not that I'm that popular but I don't go for popularity! Quality will persevere over time and I never in life was looking for instant gratification or something short-term. I am more a long-term and very dedicated person. In the end others will find out too.
By reading lots of blogs you also can analyze which 'kind' of person the writer is. If I count more than a handful sentences that start with 'I' that already reveals a lot. You don't even get the feeling they live with a family or are in any way connected to a husband...
That is a big Plus for you as you write very warmly and affectionately about 'our home' and in the 'we' form of sharing thoughts.
Did you read my tribute to my Dad's 90th birthday today? Quite an emotional day for me for being far away but that is also an aspect of a rose; they do have thorns! Following the Love of your Life comes with consequences but I don't regret any and with the strong Faith we both have, that bridges distances between other loved ones and prepares us better for the final goodbye. Meanwhile ~ let's enjoy our Roses!

Your home is lovely and the prayer you incorporated into this post is so meaningful. We have named our home and property Still Woods for Psalm 46:10.
