His tomb is empty!

The Resurrection Story
The priests remembered that Jesus had said He would be raised from the dead after three days so they asked Pilate to seal the tomb until the third day to prevent Jesus' disciples from stealing His body and telling everyone He came back to life. Pilate had sent guards to seal and protect the tomb.

Now early on Sunday morning there was suddenly a great earthquake because an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled aside the stone.  The angel's face shone like lightning, and its clothing was as white as snow.  The guards shook with fear when they saw the angel, and they fell into a dead faint.

Mary Magdalene and others came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled aside.  They couldn't find the body of Jesus.  Suddenly, they were terrified by angels who asked, "why are you looking in a tomb for someone who is alive?  He isn't here! He has risen from the dead!

Our Savior is Risen!

One day all of the pain, fear, death, disease, and war will be gone.  Our joy and hope will be complete, and all because of the penalty that Christ paid for us.
