Celebrate the Splendor of Spring

What is it about spring that fascinates us?  Perhaps, the anticipation of flowers blooming, trees blossoming... beautiful shades of all colors, sparkling sunshine warming the air, and birds singing their sweet melodies... truly a wonder to behold!

I invite you for a walk in our garden... Enjoy God's precious gifts!

"Tis my faith that every flower
enjoys the air it breathes!"
~William Wordsworth

Spring

The sun lies light on a jade-green hill,
There's a burst of song from a loosened rill,
The wind warms the breast of
the new-turned sod,
And the note of a bird
links earth with God!
~Anne Elizabeth Maddock

I love Spring anywhere, but if I
could choose, I would always greet
it in a garden.
~Ruth Stout

The Spring of God

Across the edges of the world
there blows a wind
Mysterious with perfume of a Spring;
A Spring that is not of the
kindling earth,
That's more than scent of bloom
or gleam of bud;
The Spring of God in flower!
~William A. Percy

"A Flower's appeal is in its
contradictions-so delicate in
form yet strong in fragrance,
so small in size yet big in
beauty, so short in life yet
long on effect."
~Adabella Radici

How lovely it is to delight in
the rejuvenation of nature.

Here comes the sunlight!
And with it, an irresistible
urge to brighten up our lives.

Happy Spring!

  13. Dearest Wendy,

It is a joy to come here as well. I'm so glad that this week we got our tax papers done; it was quite a task with that many medical bills. May we have a smooth going year for both of us in 2011. I still feel like I'm catching up from last year... Time is running too fast. Can't keep up with all the flowers that bloom, the one after the other.

Have a blessed weekend and stay well in your area. With love,

    Mariette
